May Coworker Spotlight : Ila Shrestha

by

Meet Ila Shrestha—quiet leader, enthusiastic teammate, and one of the key engineers who has shaped KEYSYS since 2016.

A Journey of Growth

Joined: 2016 (with a brief < 1-year break that only deepened her appreciation for the team)

Role: Senior Software Engineer

Experience: From desktop EHR and financial-document apps to modern web platforms, Ila’s path has been all about leveling-up her skills and working more collaboratively. A LinkedIn message from JB was the spark that connected her passion for people-first culture with KEYSYS’ mission.

Why Ila Loves KEYSYS

“Collaboration isn’t just encouraged here—it’s the norm.”

People & Culture: Supportive teammates who genuinely invest in each other’s success.

Variety: Projects span multiple industries, keeping every sprint fresh.

Strengths: Detail-oriented problem solving, analytical thinking, and empathetic communication that bridges tech and people.

Favorite KEYSYS Traditions

From AI hackathons and 5Ks to team outings, Ila enjoys the many ways KEYSYS mixes fun with learning.

Her top pick? The technical and non-technical book clubs.

As a mother of two young kids, it can be challenging to consistently find time for learning and development. The book club gives me a structured and supportive space to keep growing, whether it’s exploring new technologies or diving into topics that support personal growth.

Advice to Women in Tech

1. Believe in your abilities.

Imposter syndrome is normal—don’t let it silence you.

2. Find you support system.

Mentors and peers who challenge and encourage you make all the difference.

3. Give yourself grace.

Every path looks different. Progress can be slow and still be meaningful.

Ila brings a wealth of business and technical knowledge to every project. When you need deep understanding, Ila has you covered.
