John Gurley :
Life Story:
Born and raised on the stunningly beautiful Gulf Coast in Mobile, Alabama (the true birthplace of Mardi Gras). I am the youngest of 4 as well as the most modest and good looking. I belong to the even more stunningly beautiful Crystal Gurley and our three daughters. We enjoy all things outdoors together from hiking on dry land to making a splash in both fresh and salt waters. The more I travel the globe the more I have come to love the Gulf Coast.
I was 15 years old when my biggest fan, my mom, passed away suddenly from a late cancer diagnosis. I wanted to go to college for biochemistry to find/develop a way to cure cancer. But life took a different course, as it often does. In the years following my mother’s death, I benefitted greatly from the community and relationships I was enveloped into at a local church. The friendships and relationships that teenage me found there changed who I was and how I approached life in general. After high school I decided that one of the best ways that I could positively impact the world is through one relationship at a time, one student at a time. So I attended the University of Mobile to focus on youth ministry and business. I know, those are slightly eclectic career choices. But I had the intuition that if I knew how to build relationships and run a business, along with a good sense of humor and heaping doses of stubbornness (thanks mom and dad) and hard work ethics (also thanks to mom and dad), then there was nothing I could not do.
Which led to a jack-of-all-trades toolbox and resume that has led me from being a +3 year customer of KEYSYS to a coworker. With such a diverse group of great people who handle each project with such profound creativity and pride, I was confident that KEYSYS is the place I can continue to make a positive impact on the world.
